Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is the largest student business organization in the country. FBLA is the high school and junior high level, while Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) is the collegiate level. Kel participated in both FBLA and PBL and has continued to volunteer with the organization and provide guidance when asked.
As part of FBLA-PBL students have the opportunity to enhance their business skills in areas such as job interview, public speaking, teamwork, leadership and philanthropy. FBLA-PBL is the single largest non-profit supporter of March of Dimes. When Kel was a part of FBLA-PBL he experienced leadership positions on a local, state and national level. At the National level Kel was the Western Region Vice President.
Students are also given the opportunity to compete in various competitions covering topics ranging from accounting to parliamentary procedures. During his time with FBLA-PBL, Kel enjoyed competing in team events for which his teams took first place in the nation in various topics for many of the years he competed. Today he uses that experience to act as a judge for events and a mentor for competitors.
We believe that it is important that we give back to the community. By donating time to FBLA-PBL we help shape the future of those students involved in a positive way. If you are interested in being involved with FBLA-PBL please call our office and Kel will be happy to point you in the right direction.
